HRM is calling on residents to participate in Curbside Give Away Weekend. Help discover the “Hidden Treasures” in your neighbourhood, community, and city. It’s another way to RETHINK GARBAGE and protect our most precious treasure – our environment.
What great way to clear out outgrown and under-used household items - things that might be exactly what others are in looking for.
June 21 - 23 - Multicultural Festival
The Multicultural Festival is a celebration of the many and varied cultures and customs of Canadians. There are many booths selling cultural items, clothing, and food! Oh, the food!
The three day festival is held at the Halifax Seaport (near the Farmers' Market).
June 30 - July 7 - Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo
The largest indoor show in the world featuring over 2000 Canadian and international military and civilian performers.
Take part in educational workshops, exciting festival events and of course, our daily two-and-a-half hour show jam-packed with world-class entertainment, sure to delight the whole family.
This show is fast-paced – every scene only lasts about 3-6 minutes, so there is always something new to see and experience.
Looking for a taste of true Nova Scotia? There’s bagpipes, highland dancers, la culture de l’acadie and military traditions.
Hoping for something more modern? The Tattoo also features innovative acrobatic acts, modern music, contemporary dancing, trampoline routines and cutting-edge videos.

July 31 - August 5 - Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day Celebration
Celebrating the city's 118th Halifax-Dartmouth Natal Day, the six day Natal Day Festival runs from July 31st till August 5th, 2013.
A total of 30 individual events include; family activities, live concerts, the longest parade in Atlantic Canada and an elaborate fireworks show launched from the span of the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge.
